I use sound amplification equipment, Infrared Thermal Imaging, other practical methods of deduction, and my experience in order to determine the source point or fair range of area of the leak(s). The cost for the residential service is determined throughout the course of our initial interaction, and is dependent upon the type of leak detection required (equipment; estimated time needed; etc). The cost for the commercial service is determined throughout the course of our initial interaction, and is dependent upon the type of leak detection required (equipment; estimated time needed; etc). As a reference point, I'm using $375.00/Residential and $575.00/Commercial. Again, these are REFERENCE POINTS for the discount calculations below.
The leak detection fee (once determined), stand-alone (as in, client either opts out of proposal or needs time to consider proposal or needs time for proposal to go through appropriate channels), is DUE UPON COMPLETION OF THE LEAK DETECTION (unless otherwise decided by the owner of The Only Leak Detector, LLC).
This price will not increase (or decrease), regardless of the length of time the leak detection takes, unless CLIENT-APPROVED work (deemed necessary for the supposed successful completion of the leak detection) is applicable.
If you so choose to move forward with a repair option that I provide, depending on the value of the project, I give either 50% discount or 100% discount off the leak detection fee.
This is the discount tier structure:
If the value of the repair project:
is Below $2,000, client qualifies for 0% Discount.
If the value of the repair project:
is Between $2,001 and $3,500, client qualifies for 50% Discount, which means half of the Leak Detection Fee [Either $187.50(Residential LD) or $287.50(Commercial LD)]
If the value of the repair project:
is Above $3,501, client qualifies for 100% Discount, which means all of the Leak Detection Fee [Either $375(Residential LD) or $575(Commercial LD)]
** I won’t charge if I cannot provide a plan of action to resolve the leak. **
After the project, I can provide you documentation so that you can apply for a credit from the water department if you’ve paid a high water bill OR it will be removed from the bill if you haven’t paid it.
